Product trends over the course of time.

In the past, the core business was the production of chains and fittings for agricultural needs. The change of the agriculture economy and the ways of transport to engine-driven commercial vehicles, and the disappearance of horses and oxen in the postwar period made a redirection of the company necessary. With foresight, production was gradually switched to truck fittings such as brackets and staples. This enabled the company to successfully expand its market position.

Right from the beginning.

Qualified employees are most important to us. That is why we have always trained most of our employees in our own works. In this way we have a stable workforce and are able to advise our customers professionally. The experience and knowledge we have gathered as a team over the decades is at your disposal.

History

1896

Founded as a forge in Sundern-Endorf.

1950

Start of production of truck fittings.

1968

The company operates internationally with an export share of 30 %.

1987

Moving to the new company headquaters in Sundern.

1990

Start of production of truck tarpaulin tensioning systems. Numerous national and international industrial property rights.

1991

Establishing a new procution site in Sehmatal-Neudorf.

2000

Product launch “direct buckle 2000” – THE ORIGINAL.

2001

New product line SIGN-WARE, textile tensioning frames for digial prints.

2007

Foundation of the company SIGN-WARE GmbH & Co. KG.

2011

Expansion at the production site in Sundern.

2013

Inclusion in the list of world market leaders.

2018

First-time Certification as a “Family-Friendly Company in the region Hochsauerlandkreis.”

Anniversary Year – 125 Years of FRANZ MIEDERHOFF and 30 Years at the Sehmatal-Neudorf Location.

From the idea to the product.

Product development at MIEDERHOFF is strictly oriented towards fulfilling the requirements of our customers. In conception, design, and production, the successful processing of our quality products is always the dominant guiding principle. In close collaboration with our customers, we often create custom product solutions. A highly qualified team and innovative production plants set the benchmark in our “Made in Germany” production. Even complex shapes made of stainless steel, iron, or synthetic materials can be realized thanks to our own construction. We always produce according to the high MIEDERHOFF quality standards – always with the objective of supplying our customers with market-ready and durable goods.

Sustainability.

The responsible handling of resources is important to us. This is why we are increasingly using recycled materials in the packaging area, for example. The local production of our goods allows us to flexibly introduce modern technologies and sustainable production processes.

We source most of our materials from Germany and Europe to ensure the routes leading to us are shorter and therefore more environmentally friendly. We also encourage our team to become more aware of sustainable and environmentally mindful behaviour.
