Our history.

Our founder, Franz Miederhoff, laid the cornerstone for today’s internationally operating company in 1896 with a blacksmith craft. We employ approximately 200 staff across three German production sites, including around 120 at our headquarters in Sundern, Sauerland. In the meantime the company is family-owned and managed in its fourth generation.

Throughout our 130-year history, we have played a significant role in the development and establishment of market-ready and high-performance products for connecting technical textiles. This has made us the European market leader and a Hidden Champion.

In 1896, the boundaries were clearly defined. Deliveries beyond the region? Hardly imaginable. Yet 130 years ago, Franz Miederhoff laid the foundation for a success story that today leaves its mark across the globe.
